Morgan A. Laughlin is a managing director and global head of Data Center Investments. Morgan is also member of the Asia Pacific Investment Committee and the Asia Pacific Executive Committee. Prior to January 2024, Morgan was also country head for PGIM Real Estate in Japan and Korea. During his time at PGIM, he has also held the roles of head of Asia Pacific, head of Asia Pacific Debt and chairman of the Asia Pacific Investment Committee. Morgan joined PGIM Real Estate from Grosvenor Fund Management, where he was a regional director responsible for overseeing the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Grosvenor, Morgan spent five years with Royal Bank of Scotland in several positions including head of Real Estate Finance, head of Japanese Coverage and Origination, and regional head of Real Estate Advisory. In 1999, Morgan established DB Real Estate (RREEF) for Non-Japan Asia and continued to lead that business unit until mid-2006. Prior to it being acquired by Deutsche Bank AG, Morgan worked for Bankers Trust Company, where he held various roles in corporate finance, asset backed finance and international banking. Morgan began his career in investment banking at PaineWebber in New York. Morgan has been based in the Asia Pacific region since 1989. Morgan has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from Columbia College. He has lived and worked in the United States, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.
